Why I do This work

From experience to empowerment

Denise Eaton

Founder of The Therapy Shed

I am a holistic nutritionist, psychotherapist, health and wellness coach, reflexologist, Reiki Master and professionally trained chef with over 30 years of experience working with food, health and human behaviour.

As the founder of The Therapy Shed in Norfolk, I lead a collective of skilled therapists and healers while also delivering my own transformational programmes and retreats. My work blends science, psychology and soul, supporting women to build health from the inside out.

I feel my approach is rooted in the understanding that nutrition is foundational. From balanced hormones and metabolic health to sleep quality and emotional resilience, I help clients reconnect with their bodies through whole-food nourishment, nervous system regulation and sustainable lifestyle change. My work increasingly supports women navigating weight challenges with compassion and evidence-based strategy, particularly those seeking long-term health beyond quick fixes.

Having personally experienced profound loss, I feel I bring a depth of empathy and emotional intelligence to my practice. I understand trauma, grief and the invisible weight many women carry while being “the strong one.” This lived experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to hold safe, grounded spaces for healing and growth.

Through my wellness retreats on the North Norfolk coast, my online programmes and my developing ‘Nourish’ subscription, I am honoured to create environments where women can pause, reset and reconnect, not just with better habits, but with themselves.

I believe women’s wellness is not about restriction, perfection or chasing the smallest version of ourselves, it’s about understanding your brain, your body and your unique wiring. As a holistic nutritionist, psychotherapist, chef and wellness coach, I see time and time again that lasting health comes from working with your biology, not fighting it. Our hormones, nervous system, genetics, emotional history and energy all shape how we eat, sleep, feel and function. When a woman truly understands her appetite signals, her stress patterns, her sensitivity, her habits and her needs, she stops battling herself and starts building sustainable health from a place of self-respect. My philosophy is simple: nourish deeply, regulate the nervous system, protect your energy, and create structure that supports your life - so you can feel strong, grounded, confident and fully yourself.
